What is Islanders 4 Clean Water?

Islanders 4 Clean Water is the educational outreach arm of the City of Holmes Beach Clean Water Ad Hoc Committee, connecting the community with practical ways to protect our local waters and environment. Through education, partnerships, events, and community programs, the initiative encourages residents, businesses, visitors, and students to make everyday choices that support cleaner water and a healthier island. Imagine Florida

Imagine Florida is the theme of the 2027 Islanders 4 Clean Water campaign, inviting our community to imagine what Florida can look like when we put nature first. Each month focuses on a different environmental topic, providing a simple roadmap of actions we can all take to protect our water, wildlife, and natural spaces. Along the way, we’ll also recognize important environmental awareness days and holidays that connect us to the bigger picture and remind us that small actions can make a lasting difference.

Jan- Imagine Florida in Bloom▾
Picture roadsides, yards, and parks bursting with native wildflowers. A living corridor for butterflies, bees, and birds that sustains our coastal ecosystem year-round.

Envision neighborhoods shaded by mature native trees whose roots hold the soil, filter stormwater, and cool the island air even after the fiercest summer storms.
